On the 26th of January we had our first open committee meeting in order to be more transparent and discuss some new ideas, some of which had resulted from our member survey in December. Amongst other things, we discussed communication methods - the regular emailed newsletter is popular but we will also trial 'one-way' WhatsApp announcements for members who want to be involved.
In addition to the five members of the committee, there were five Timebank members ensuring there were lively discussions! Bellfield foyer was the perfect venue with a ready supply of tea and coffee, from the en-suite kitchen, plus wine, savoury nibbles and cake, of course! The committee usually meet about ten times a year, and the plan is to make perhaps two of them open to members who are most welcome to join in.
