The Timebank’s first talk of the winter season was billed as “an introduction to…” but Saskia did far more than introduce us to these fascinating creatures. We heard so many amazing facts about bees, how they live, what they do in and outside the hive, how they tend their young and how they function like a super-organism that we all came away simply buzzing!
Saskia shared not just her knowledge but her personal experience of beekeeping, showing us how much is known but how much is still to be found out. The many questions and lively chatter after the talk were fueled by cups of tea and home bakes, making this evening not just informative but a welcome chance to socialise with other Timebankers, meet new people and (most likely) gain a few new recruits to the Time Bank.
